Back in the day Savotta was also known as “Savotta retkeilyväline”, “retkeily” meaning hiking/trekking and “väline” literally translating into “implement” or “instrument”. Yes, it’s exactly as clunky even in Finnish. Back then we had this cool old logo depicting a backpacker hiking up a hill carrying a big backpack. Now this amazingly cool vintage logo is available as a modern patch with hook attachment.

Ruby A. ★★★★★

The 'retkeilyväline' wording is such a charmingly clunky throwback, it makes me smile every time I see it stitched onto my pack. The embroidery itself is clean and tight, feels like it’ll hold up to years of trail abuse. Exactly the kind of nostalgic piece I was hunting for.

Andrew ★★★★★

Pinned this to my daypack and the retro "retkeilyväline" text gives it a proper old-school look. The embroidery has held up fine after a couple of rainy hikes, no fraying at all.

The embroidered lettering is way cleaner than I expected for a little woven patch, and the retro hiking logo looks great on my daypack. Feels sturdy too, like it'll outlast the bag.
