The 6-liter size is perfect for stashing my water bottle and rain jacket on day hikes. Zipper opens wide enough to grab things without taking the pouch off the pack.

Didn't think I needed a side pouch until I started using this one for my water bottle and rain shell. The zipper feels solid and the PALS straps hold it tight against my pack with zero wobble on the trail. Six litres is exactly enough for the odds and ends I want within arm's reach.

Snapped this onto the side of my pack and it swallows way more than the 6 litres suggests — a rain shell, water bottle, and snacks all fit with room left. The zipper glides smoothly even when it's stuffed full.
